The Rodger A. Graef Foundation is a broad purpose charitable fund that
responds to requests that are deemed most appropriate to promote education, the arts,
social welfare, medical research and religion as determined by the Board of Trustees.
GRANT RULES AND REQUIRED INFORMATION
Before completing the attached application, please read these instructions carefully. Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant and will not be considered until all requirements have been met.
Grants are given annually. The Foundation will not make grants to individuals or private businesses. The application deadline is July 31 st to be considered for the current year. If your application is received after the deadline it will be considered at the next annual meeting of the Trustees, however supporting documents including financials must be current for year being considered.Only one request per calendar year will be considered. Notification of approval or disapproval of your request will be by a letter sent after the Foundation’s annual meeting in September.
1. Please type an answer to each question within the space provided. The application may be recreated on a word processor for convenience, however please duplicate the application as it is and do not extend responses beyond the original allotted areas. Please do not use smaller than 10pt type.
2. Submit an original and four copies of the completed application form with supporting documents including any marketing materials. The application MUST be signed by the Board President and or the Director at large. Also attach a SINGLE PAGE cover letter stating the mission of your organization and copies of additional material requested below to each application.
3. Attach copies of the following to all copies of the application.
· Mission Statement
· Current year Financial Statement
· Detailed Budget
· Detailed Project Budget ( if associated with grant request )
· List of Officers, Directors & Board Members
· Copy of IRS 501 ©)(3) Tax Exemption Determination Letter*
· Descriptive brochures(s) ( if available and related to funding request )
4. Grant requests from non profits whose 501(c)3 tax exempt status is not listed as current on GuideStar.org will not be considered.
Other attachments if necessary.
* If you submit a request along with a Tax Exemption Determination Letter in another name, you
must provide satisfactory documentation as to your connection with the name on that Tax
Exemption Letter.
If there is any other supporting information you feel that might be necessary in grant consideration that is not covered in your mission statement, etc., please feel free to submit it.
